Fitted cloth diaper

Since starting cloth diapers, I've seen a ton of cute fitted diapers that sell for $15-20 a piece and because I'm cheap and don't have a ton of money, I decided to try and make my own with the materials I had on hand.  I used cheap piece of flannel that I got from Walmart for a $1 a yard, a old  diaper soaker pad, and a little bit of elastic and that's it.  The pattern calls for velcro, but I didn't have any on hand and I actually prefer using diaper pins because I feel that they allow for a more precise fit.  I used a free online pattern at http://www.makeforbaby.com/directory.php?directory=Diaper&top=3 . It's an awesome website so check it out!  They offer a ton of free baby patterns. I used 2 pieces of double sided flannel for the diaper and 1 piece of flannel + 1 pre made diaper soaker pad for the middle insert, add elastic to the legs and back, and your done.  Simple.  Over all I still prefer flat fold diapers, but having a few fitted diapers on hand creates a little variety.
